Tonight, again, I found little black bugs and white worms in my Barilla pasta (whole wheat spaghetti). I didn't notice it right away, but after it was cooked and poured over my sauce and meatballs.

This happened a couple years ago as well and I assumed it just from storing it in my 125 year old pantry. So I threw away about 10 boxes and thoroughly cleaned my pantry. But tonight, it was a brand new box dated Nov 2018. Pissed, I googled Barilla bugs and sure enough, pictures of the same bugs all over the internet.

I'll add mime, too. Another box (whole grain penne also with a Nov 2018 date) seemed fine - but it's now spread out all over a cookie sheet. WTF, doesn't the FDA inspect food manufacturers? The box says,"product is manufactured on equipment that processes products containing eggs".

So does that mean those little white wormy things are "eggs"?

They're supposed to be in there? You can see in the pictures that the bugs are actually eating the pasta

Just bought a box of barilla thin spaghetti because I found bugs in muellers. Didnโ€™t want to deal with the bugs so I bought a different kind. Same situation.
